Your pet can save lives
Blood transfusions can be critical, life-saving procedures. Blood loss from trauma or toxins (e.g., anticoagulant rodent poisons) or destruction of a patient’s red blood cells by immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA), toxins, or pathogens can quickly lead to severe anemia and possibly death, which can be prevented by administering blood transfusions.
We treat many critically ill animals at our clinic and the availability of blood often means the difference between life and death, therefore we are always looking for cat and dog blood donors to help save the lives of other animals.
